FP race manifold
I got my FP race manifold in a few days ago. My first impression was WOW. The stock manifolds collector is just no comparison to this manifold. Another thing I noticed, the bronze coating was a waste. It looks like it was coated with a dye and nothing that would actually contain any heat.
Upon first driving, I noticed that the sound of the exhaust and turbo had changed noticably. While stomping on it, it was apperent that the characteristics of the turbo had also changed. The powerband was a lot more linear and the throttle response seemed to have increased. The power seems to kick in more smoothly instead of lag followed by an instantanious dump of power. I haven't really had a chance to test out top end because I hardly get any chance to see high RPM's. Second gear just spins the tires and 3rd gear at high RPM's puts me at about 100mph.
Visually, this manifold is beautiful. It really gives the engine bay a nice touch. I would say that this manifold uncoated is well worth the group buy price I paid. I will most likely post up pics once I get them uploaded onto the computer.

Eh, it's just an intake manifold. All it has to do is hold ~25psi. It's not like an exhaust manifold that needs to stand up to 1600*F. I can't see it being so shitty that the welds would blow out or something.

Re: FP race manifold
ha, I have seen, personaly, that company mess up many catch-cans. They had so many complaints on the SRTforums that they are no longer a vendor; then an online company called Modernperformance discontinued their parts.

Re: FP race manifold
I want one (the exhaust manifold). $175?? You have a link to the group buy?? I think they're normally $350, right? Or did the prices come down?

Re: FP race manifold
They're $325 normally - $175 group buy/sale price. Unfortunately, the sale ended a day or 2 ago. If you still want one, I'd call Aneil ASAP at FP and ask if you could still get the sale price. You can find the sale on dsmtuners in the vendors section.

Re: FP race manifold
Its a sexy mani for sure. It looks sick in georges engine bay! To bad it doesnt have a flange for a 38mm wastegate on it..i would buy it tomarow!
Re: FP race manifold
Well I got my turbo setup installed, which includes this FP manifold. It looks badass, fits nicely, makes the exhaust sound a little better and certainly feels like it flows A LOT more air than the stocker...even ported. I got some pics up in my thread under the General Section about buying all the parts.
